A vampire
The creature of her night
An elusive lover

He comes to her in the black abyss
Seeking her warmth
Seeking her love

Eyes as dark as his self loathing
Bore into her soul
Searching…forever in search of the perfect mate

He has forever
She does not
Their time is not of proportion

Rushing into oblivion with his human lover
A lover of his world
A lover of his touch

He cannot think of the future
For it ends in a heartrending fashion
So for now, all he thinks of is her…only her

Fangs tear through soft, inviting flesh
As he slides his tongue over his bite
Lapping up dark, crimson fluid

Drowning in ecstasy
Drowning in his love
Drowning in his loath for her sweet nectar

For he has just committed a taboo
Dowsing her life with his curse
With his feral hunger

Death to his human lover
Death to this maddening craving
Death to himself

A vampire brings sadness
Wherever he may tread
Bringing a weightless burden

Tears and painful cries
Fracture the night's symphony
As he realizes this is an undying death
